According to Aaron Fuchs, Leonie J (Iyonie J) was the female counterpart to Jerome Prister in the group Output and rapped in a British accent on this track as, "...it was the thing to do during those days when the downtown rockers were making white people's first overtures to hip hop."
We had a similar thing over here in the UK when rappers tried to put on a fake American accent.
