Cold Crush - Brothers Weekend

Another interesting fact. The variation of the Cold Crush Brothers 1982 Weekend. Dark blue label with silver writing and light blue label with white writing.

  1. Interesting, I always thought the light blue was probably the first press (not that it really matters), had 3 copies of the darker blue in the 90's, only had one light blue, having extra words like Disco Mix by J. Bloodrock sounds like sales pitch a label would add after to try and get drum up more interest, let alone the fact the glossy label of the dark blue seems like they wanted to put more money into the project.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to comment, it’s really appreciated. I was always under the impression the dark blue was the first press and that they removed the words Disco Mix by J Bloodrock as they realised rap was changing and disco was played out by 1982. To be honest I don’t have the proof to back it up and your belief could be as valid as mine. So I am going to reword my post to say possibly the first press.

    Thanks Ronsoul

  3. Fair enough, thought maybe you had asked Charlie Chase or someone lol. I know I've seen the light labelled by ebay sellers as the first press, but who knows, just my gut instinct that it is!
