19th Fleet - Star Raid

19th Fleet - Star Raid

Whether you like this record or not there is no doubt it very rarely shows up. In all my years of looking for records. I have never seen another copy.

Still in its original sleeve in open shrink wrap

  1. Had two copies..sold one..very hard to get a nice copy..both mine were NM...watch out for the Kik Cryounik remix as well which brings it up to date a bit.
Star Raid is a love it or hate it track..possibly dude to the high BPM so not much would mix with it back in the days 😃

  2. I also have a copy of this record, I bought it back in 90/91 from a guy called Jason, he would send me lists of the record's he was selling from his collection, luckily this was one of them, I was even more happy as at the time I was trying to get all the 12"s that were available from the Electro series, a feat which I completed around 12 years or ago.
In fact the copy that you see on Discogs is my copy, the "8" you see in the image was how much Jason wanted for the record £8.

  3. Thanks DJJohnnyScratch for taking the time to comment on my blog. 2 copies that’s pretty impressive. I will have a look out for the remix. As for the BPM I never really considered the BPM Before but that’s only because I am not much of a DJ. I wonder if there’s a box of these sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

  4. Thanks Diseone Nice to see another comment from you. Seems Jason did you proud and for only £8.00 I always wondered if this was on the Street Sounds Electro series as a filler? I am guessing it did not sell very well in the USA so to licence it in the UK for a compilation would have been cheap.

  5. Picked up 2 sealed copies of this back in the day from Beat Street Mail Order for £5 each. Another tune that I sold long ago and have to buy back at an over inflated price. Bit of a Marmite tune but I love it.

  6. Like many people I can't stand this record, but it is rare, can clearly remember the last time I saw it, back when there used to be a branch of the Record & Tape exchange in Pembridge Road, Notting Hill that still sold records before changing to a clothes shop. I came across a copy for around £5-6, I pondered buying it at the time knowing then I hadn't seen a copy after years of digging, but left it to find out in recent years that it goes for BIG MONEY! Still I'm sort of proud to say I never have and never will own this record - out of choice ;-)

  7. Nice to see you returning with more comments ComputerLee. I was a fan of the Pembridge Road shop, although a small shop it had some nice records over the years.
